The OxMan on 29 November 2026 is a multi-sport festival incorporating a range of race options to suit all athletes.
The original OxMan is a long course triathlon with duathlon and aquabike options. The festival also includes short course and junior triathlons, 2 multi-sport options plus standalone running events of 7km and Half Marathon.
It takes place in the farmlands of North Canterbury, with quiet roads and a country feel.
Event director John Newsom also organises the Pak’nSave Save Triathlon Festival, Sea2Sky Challenge and JD Duathlon series.

Triathlon & Duathlon:
Junior Oxman (10-16 yrs): 200m swim (or 1K run) + 11.5K bike + 3.5K run
Mini Oxman: 1.1K swim (or 2.2K run) + 46K bike + 10K run
Oxman: 1.9K swim (or 6.5K run) + 92K bike + 21K run
Multisport:
Mini: 2.2K run + 46K bike + 10K run + 10K kayak
XL: 8.5K run + 46K bike + 20K run + 10K kayak
Plus Kids' Duathlon (5-9 yrs)
