The Mountains To Sea event on 24 October 2026 features a scenic Marathon course with breathtaking views in Kaikōura, Canterbury.

This is an amazing run across the iconic peninsula, along the beach and up to Mount Fyffe. The Marathon can also be completed as a relay in teams of 4.

As well as the Marathon distance, there are also Half Marathon, 10km and 5km distances.

This annual event is a fundraiser for Kaikōura High School and Kaikōura Lions.

This event base is South Bay Racecourse. All distances start/finish here except the 5K, which starts at the Seal Colony.
