The G.J. Gardner Homes Whangamatā Half Marathon is back on 26 September 2026 with the iconic 21km plus 10km and 5km events.

The 5km and 10km courses are some of the flattest fastest courses in the country. Both have fast and simple course layouts, with very few turns and very little elevation. Great for setting a new PB.

The Half Marathon course matches the fast and simple course layout of the 10km course but heads out on the 11km popular 'Half Marathon only' out and back section using the walkway alongside the Whangamatā Golf Course and the peaceful country Wentworth Valley Road.

Perfectly timed for the first weekend of the spring school holiday.

All courses start and finish at Williamson Park. The recipient charity of this event will be the Whangamatā Lions.
