The Tussock Traverse is an iconic alpine trail run in Tongariro National Park with 32km, 21km, 12km or 6km distances to choose from.

There is no event in 2027. The next event date is to be confirmed.

It offers one of the most scenic and varied courses in New Zealand to both keen trail runners and walkers, as well as people new to the excitement of off-road adventures.

The event is proud to support the ongoing work of charity partner Project Tongariro (Tongariro Natural History Society), and the great work they do conserving the area.

It is organised by Ohakune Events Charitable Trust.
