The Otipua Challenge from 29 to 31 January 2027 is a time-limited trail run on a 6.3km course around the Otipua Wetlands in Timaru.

Based from Redruth Park, run, walk or crawl as many times as you can within a 3, 6, 12, 24 or 48 hour time limit.

The course is mostly smooth and flat with a little hill in the middle.

The 24 hour and 48 hour events can be run solo or in a relay team of 2-4 runners (one runner at a time on course).
