The annual Longbeach Coastal Challenge on 29 November 2026 is an off-road multisport event in rural mid-Canterbury.

Choose from trail run/walks or MTB events, or combine the two disciplines and compete in a Bike + Run Duathlon.

Based on the historic Longbeach Estate, the course takes entrants from rolling farmland and river crossings to the stunning Pacific coastline.

This event is a community fundraiser run by the Hinds and District Lions Club and Longbeach School.
