The Frontrunner Timaru Mackenzie Half Marathon on 17 July 2027 takes runners and walkers through the spectacular Fairlie Basin in Canterbury.

The mixed terrain course features gravel roads, river trails, private farmland, a river crossing and the challenging climb up Spur Road, with incredible views across the Mackenzie region. Enjoy the unique atmosphere including the sound of the bagpipes, plenty of tartan and a wee dram of whisky waiting near the top of the hill.

In addition to the 21.1km distance there is also a 10km and 5.5km (new course in 2027), plus a 2.5km flat, pushchair-friendly course called the 'Hole in One' which will include part of the Golf Course.

This event is sponsored by the Fairlie Lions Club.
