The Kaikōura Adventure Race from 11 to 12 April 2026 is a traditional adventure race with 48, 12, 6 and 3 hour course lengths on offer.

There are a range of course lengths and categories to suit teams of all fitness and abilities. Team sizes are 2 to 4 members.

The 48 hour course includes mountain biking, trekking, navigation and packrafting. This event is sanctioned by Adventure 1 as part of the New Zealand national series. Teams entering the 48 hour course must provide their own rafts.

The 3, 6 and 12 hour courses – will include mountain biking, trekking and navigation.

Located in the Kaikōura District, just 2 hours drive north from Christchurch and 2 hours south from Blenheim, the exact location and course will be kept secret until closer to the event.
