The Ian Priest Memorial Hutt River Trail Events on Saturday, 11 January 2020 is an annual 60km Ultra Marathon starting in the Wairarapa, a 42km Marathon from Kaitoke, a 21km Half Marathon from Trentham and a 10K starting from McEwan Park, Petone, with all events ending at McEwan Park, Petone.

The 60km event traverses the historic and scenic Rimutaka Railway Incline from Cross Creek in the Wairarapa to Kaitoki in Upper Hutt where it is joined by the marathon. The course then passes through Tunnel Gully and, after a short section of sealed road, follows the Hutt River, while being joined by the half marathon at Moonshine, to its mouth at Petone.

There are merit and spot prizes on offer.

Apart from the 10K, these are point-to-point events and transport will be provided at an additional cost between the Race Headquarters in Petone and the relevant start location. Race HQ and the finish for all events is at McEwan Park in Petone.
