Follow event Run/Walk Cross Country Relay

The annual Hagley Relays event on 25 April 2026 is hosted by the University of Canterbury Falcons.

The event honours the late Daniel Reese and is held in North Hagley Park, the largest urban open space in the centre Christchurch. Terrain is flat grassy parkland with some fast running on bitumen paths.

Community runners are welcome and this is a perfect family-friendly event to join in.

Distances/Events

Solo:
U16: 2K
U18 & 18+: 4K

Relay running:
U16: 6K
U18 & 18+: 10K

Relay walkers: 2 x 2K

The event start area is North of the Armagh Street Bridge.
