The Trainwreck Trail is a run/walk and MTB event on 17 January 2026 that shows off the views from Glenham and the historic railway tunnel.

The 10km events begin on the road before an easy gravel downhill leading to the historic Glenham Tunnel. This is a fun event suitable for beginners.

The 15km course also begins on the road, then includes a short down hill towards the Mataura River and continuing on farmland with a climb to the historic 'Glenham Tunnel' before finishing near Glenham School.

The 21km moves quickly into farmland and tracks climbing as high as 200 metres above sea level. There is a quick drop down to the Mataura River, followed by a climb to the historic Glenham Tunnel before finishing near Glenham School.

The course is normally closed to the public so this is a great opportunity to compete on this unique course.
