Geraldine Adventure Race
Sunday, 29 March 2026
Geraldine, Canterbury
The Geraldine Adventure Race on 29 March 2026 is an exciting event run as a fundraiser for Geraldine High School.
Expect rolling farmland, pockets of native bush, and awesome views over the Canterbury Plains. There is a 1.5, 3 and 7 hour option, which will include a mixture of mountain biking, trekking, navigation, and mystery challenges.
New for 2026 is the 1.5 hour family event, designed to be an easy introduction to the sports of navigation and adventure racing. The terrain and navigation for this event will be much easier than for the 3 and 7 hour events, expect to cover about 10km total for this event.
The 3 hour event is designed for beginners to adventure racing. You will need to be able to jog/walk approximately 5km off road, and mountain bike approximately 15km on 4WD tracks.
The 7 hour event is designed to be an achievable event for all competitors with a reasonable level of fitness and some navigational competency. You will need to be able to jog/walk approximately 10km off road, and mountain bike approximately 20km on 4WD tracks.
