The Ashburton River Trail Marathon is back over the weekend 5 to 6 March 2027 with a scenic and varied course along the Ashburton River Trail.

Friday night kicks off with a 5km walk or run. The course is winding and undulating, designed to be enjoyable for both serious runners/walkers and those seeking a more relaxed experience. This event includes a Corporate Challenge which is a great chance for team bonding and some friendly competition.

Saturday's 10km course extends the 5km loop to the Mania-o-roto Scout Park area. Runners will experience a mix of river trails, offering a diverse running experience.

The Half Marathon continues beyond the 10km route, reaching Cochranes Road before proceeding down Beach Road, and re-entering the river track at Trevors Road. This track combines river trails with road sections for a comprehensive half marathon experience..
