The Barefoot XTRAIL Series: Red Rocks race on 21 June 2026 at Owhiro Bay is part of an annual series of off road trail runs.

A taxing climb at the start up the run sets you up for easy running across the tops with uninterrupted views of Wellington Harbour in one direction and Cook Straight in the other. Later in your run you will be drinking in some of salty sea air as you follow the Coastal Track back around our spectacular South Coast.

Each race in the series has short, medium and long distances, which equate to approximately 5km to 7km for short courses, 10km to 14km for medium courses, and 17km to 20km+ for long courses.
