The Barefoot XTRAIL Series Awesome Akatarawas on 4 October 2026 near Paraparaumu is part of an annual series of off road trail runs.

This course provides a diverse mix of MTB tracks, horse trails, open field running and bush, and gives you magnificent views out over the sea towards Kapiti Island.

Each race in the series has short, medium and long distances, which equate to approximately 5km to 7km for short courses, 10km to 14km for medium courses, and 17km to 20km+ for long courses.
