Motatapu Entries Now Open - Choose Your Challenge
Entries are now open for Motatapu 2026, taking place on Saturday 7 March. This is one of New Zealand’s most iconic off-road events. Runners can choose from the scenic 15km Miners Trail, the remote and rugged 52km Ultra Run, or the legendary 42km Trail Marathon.
These courses provide a rare chance to explore high-country trails across Motatapu, Soho, and Glencoe Stations, including areas not usually accessible to the public. Expect dramatic valleys, wild ridgelines, river crossings, and an epic day on the trails.
