Why ultramarathons are easier than you think
A slow pace, mountains of food and beautiful surroundings make ultra-long races more accessible than many people realise. Isaac Williams at Red Bull writes about some of the reasons they're easier than you might think in this article.
How to dress for rainy runs
I thought I'd be holding off sharing this post until winter, but with the crazy wet (and snowy!) weather across the country at the moment it seems appropriate to share it now! Runners World has compiled some tips to keep you comfortable whether it's rainy and cold or rainy and warm.

Have a great running week!
I'm event crewing at the third and final event in the Corporate Challenge Series in Auckland tomorrow - if you're doing it, I'm usually on the lead bike during the race and you'll hear me calling out for people to get out of the way!
Then I'm off on Friday to crew the Rotorua Half Marathon, will probably be working at the Omaha Half the following Sunday and will be running/walking the West Coaster Marathon the Saturday after that. Busy busy!!
