The Taupō Harriers Mr Whippy Taupō 5km Series is run fortnightly on a Wednesday evening from late January to late March each year.

The series caters for runners, walkers and children with a special Kids Dash for school children starting out in running.

The start and finish is at Wharewaka Point with the 5km course on an out and back loop along the Great Lake Pathway / Lions Walk to 2 Mile Bay. The Kids race is 2 laps around Wharewaka Reserve (1500m).

Registration from 5.30pm for a race start at 6.00pm. Please refer to the event website/facebook page for updates.
