Run Walk Play is a five race series held fortnightly on Sunday mornings, starting at Pohlen Park in Matamata.

This series has now changed to one community Run Walk Play 5K event being held in March 2025.

Each event in the series includes a 5km distance plus a 2.5km dash for juniors.

The 5km is held on a 2 lap course taking in the park-like and semi-rural surroundings over Pohlen Park and Neil Algar Reserve.

The series is organised by Project Play, a working group of Matamata Futures Inc. Money raised will help to build a new playground at Matamata Domain.
