The Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon in Palmerston North returns to Ongley Park on 2 March 2027.

This annual series is designed for Kiwi kids aged 6 to 15 years to help them stay active and healthy through a programme of participation.

The TRYathlon will begin with the swim leg in the outdoor pool at the Lido Aquatic Centre. The Transition area is located a short distance from the pool in Ongley Park. The bike leg is around the streets surrounding Ongley Park, and the run leg is around Ongley Park itself.

The triathlon can be done solo or in a team of two; in two person teams, one team member completes the swim, one team member completes the cycle and both complete the run.

There is also a 'Splash n Dash' aquathon event for 6 year olds.

8-10 years: 100m + 3.5K + 1.5K
11-15 years: 150m + 7K + 1.5K

Duathlon (Bike + Run) - solo
7-10 years: 3.5K + 1.5K
7-10 years: 7K + 1.5K
