The Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon at Mount Maunganui returns to Arataki Park on 30 November 2025.

This annual series is designed for Kiwi kids aged 6 to 15 years to help them stay active and healthy through a programme of participation.

The TRYathlon begins with the swim leg in the indoor pool at the Baywave Aquatic Centre with the transition area located adjacent to the Baywave Aquatic Centre carpark. The bike leg is around the streets surrounding Arataki Park, and the run leg is around Arataki Park itself.

The triathlon can be done solo or in a team of two; in two person teams, one team member completes the swim, one team member completes the cycle and both complete the run.

There is also a 'Splash n Dash' aquathon event for 6 year olds.

7 Years: 50m + 4K + 1.5K
8-10 Years: 75m + 4K + 1.5K
11-15 Years: 150m + 8K + 1.5K
