The Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon in Hastings returns to Mitre 10 Sports Park on 17 March 2027.

This annual series is designed for Kiwi kids aged 6 to 15 years to help them stay active and healthy through a programme of participation.

The TRYathlon begins with the swim leg in the Hawke’s Bay Regional Aquatic Centre. The Transition area, bike leg and run leg of the TRYathlon will all take place in the Hawke’s Bay Regional Sports Park.

The triathlon can be done solo or in a team of two; in two person teams, one team member completes the swim, one team member completes the cycle and both complete the run.

There is also a 'Splash n Dash' Aquathon event for 6 year olds.

Aquathon / Splash n Dash (Swim + Run):
6 years old: 50m + 1.5K

Triathlon (Swim + Bike + Run) - solo/teams of 2
7 years old: 50m + 4K + 1.5K
8-9 years old: 100m + 4K + 1.5K
10-15 years old: 150m + 8K + 1.5K

Duathlon (Bike + Run):
7 years old: 4K + 1.5K
8-9 years old: 4K + 1.5K
