Race 3 of the Waimea Harriers Wallace Shield series is on 9 May 2026 at Moturoa/Rabbit Island.

This is a beach course with the meeting point at the Old Domain Reserve.

This event is a handicap based on times from the previous race (or estimated on the day). The slowest competitors start first at 2:30pm with the next competitors going at intervals until finally the fastest competitor starts and tries their best to catch up! The winner is first across the line.

Registration is from 1.45pm, race briefing 2.20pm and first participants start at 2.30pm.
