The first Waimea Harriers event in 2026 is the Milnes Beatson Wakefield Roaster - a 5km and 10km fun run or walk on 17 January 2026.

Registration is outside Wakefield Police station from 2.15pm to 3pm. 3:10pm start for 10k walkers. 3.30pm start for all 5km competitors and 10km runners.

There is a $10 entry fee for the 10km and $5 for the 5km and it's free for juniors and youth students and members of Waimea Harriers & Athletics Nelson running clubs.

The course on footpaths and rural roads - parental supervision of juniors advised.
