Wairua Warrior is an Obstacle Course Race (OCR) on 18 April 2026 in the picturesque Nelson-Tasman region.

This is a running-based sport held at NZ's only permanent purpose-built Obstacle Course, where individuals or teams compete to complete a course and conquer a series of challenging obstacles.

The courses cater to all levels, from 3km to 10km races featuring unique and challenging obstacles that will push you to your limits. You can participate solo or as a team of 4-8 people. Teams can be a mix of age and gender and can only register under one race category. In 2026 there will be also be Elite level categories.

For young warriors aged 6 to under 14 years, there is a 2.5km race.
