The Hill Climb Run on 18 October 2026 is based at Waipu Caves Farm Park, a private conservation and recreation park.

This event is a time-based running challenge held on a 1km circuit track. There are 2 options - A 2-Hour challenge where you run as many laps as you can in the time limit. Or choose an Elimination Time Limit per lap - where runners must do each lap within a time limit, with the time reducing each lap.

The course climbs steeply uphill with 90m elevation over 400m distance (the last 50m is about 60 degrees) and then returns to the bottom via a farm track which is 650m back to the start/lap/finish point.
