The Ultimate Athlete obstacle course race is back on 11 April 2026 at Mount Maunganui in Tauranga.

The course is designed to test all ages, abilities and fitness levels with endurance and strength obstacles set over 3km, 6km and 10km distances. Enter solo or in a team of 2-6 people.

There are also options for kids with a 1.5km course for those aged 4-12 years that includes some of the best challenges (all are optional). Those aged 11-17 yrs can enter a 3km challenge with 18 obstacles - athletes are timed in two age divisions.

Races start with a scenic run around Mt Maunganui's base track, followed by a set of obstacles and challenges, as entrants make their way up Mt Drury and along the main beach.
