Sea2Sky Challenge
Sunday, 15 March 2026
Sumner, Christchurch
The Sea 2 Sky Challenge is a unique multi-sport challenge based in Christchurch on 15 March 2026.
The full challenge comprises an ocean swim followed by a hilly bike and an incredibly scenic run with duathletes replacing the swim with a flat run. There are individual and team relay options and kids events.
The event also includes a standalone 16km Trail Run on a new route which will be almost entirely on trails with awesome views over Lyttelton harbour. The revised course will join the Crater Rim track from the top of Evans Pass all the way to Godley Head. This can be run in teams of 2, with one runner doing the first leg to Godley Head (approximately 8.5km) and the second team member taking on the leg from Godley Head to Scarborough (approximately 7.5km).
There is also an Aquathon (swim/run) for kids aged 5-9 years.
