Follow event Run/Walk Road/Path/Park Kids

The inaugural Run Akaroa is on 17 May 2026 with courses designed for maximum wow-factor in the beautiful Akaroa Harbour, near Christchurch.

There are 3 distances on offer; Marathon, Half Marathon, and a 10km.

Each course is on a point-to-point route starting along Summit Road, overlooking the sparkling waters of the Akaroa Harbour to the right, and the South Pacific Ocean to the left. The finish line is at Akaroa Domain. Refer to the event website for transport options to the different start lines.

There is also a 1km Kids' Dash Fun Run and Walk on a two lap course around the Akaroa Domain.
