The Barfoot & Thompson People's Triathlon Series event on 21 February 2027 is Race 1 of a 4 race series in Auckland.

This event is based at Maraetai Beach and includes a sea swim off the beach, a ride along the coast and through East Auckland’s rolling countryside, and a run mixing trail and path.

As part of this series, participants have the chance to race a variety of distances in triathlon, duathlon and aquabike events. All events have a wide range of abilities enabling participants to race as competitively or non-competitively as they like.

All competitors in the series must be 12 years of age or older on race day.

Triathlon (Swim + Bike + Run):
Try-a-tri: 100m + 10K + 2K
Sprint: 500m + 20K + 5K
Olympic: 1.5K + 40K + 10K

Duathlon (Bike + Run):
Sprint: 20K + 5K
Olympic: 40K + 10K

Aquabike (Swim + Bike):
Sprint: 500m + 20K
Olympic: 1.5K + 40K
