The Coastal Challenge on 20 February 2027 is an iconic adventure run and walk down the eastern coast line of Auckland's North Shore.

Run, walk, wade, and rock hop your way along several of Auckland's most beloved beaches. You will get wet! This is a one-of-a-kind event for a one-of-a-kind city.

With multiple course distances, there's something for all ages, abilities, and levels of adventure, including a team relay in the 33km event.

This is a cup-free event - bring your own cup/water bottle for refilling at aid stations during the race.

Location map

The event base and finish line for all events is Windsor Reserve in Devonport. The 33km race starts in Arkles Bay; the 22km at Long Bay; the 17km at Browns Bay; the 11km at Milford Beach; and the 6km at Takapuna Beach.
