The Lake Kaniere Scenic Triathlon is on 7 March 2026 at Lake Kaniere, near Hokitika on NZ's West Coast.

Choose from a Kayak Triathlon, Swim Triathlon, long distance swim, Duathlon, run/walk plus junior events.

The courses are mixed terrain, a Mountain or Gravel bike is recommended.

Distances/Events

Triathlon:
Junior (7-10 yrs): 250m Swim + 4K Bike + 1.6K Run
Junior (11-13 yrs): 400m Swim + 8K Bike + 4K Run
Kayak Tri: 10K Run + 7.5K Kayak + 21K Bike
Swim Tri: 680m Swim + 21K Bike + 10K Run

Duathlon (Run + Bike):
Junior (7-10 yrs): 1.6K + 4K
Junior (11-13 yrs): 4K + 8K
10K Run + 21K Bike

Walk/Run only: 10K

Long distance swim only: 2K
