Hātea Run's Night Series takes place in winter in locations around Whangarei, with the second event on 24 June 2026.

This event starts at Mair Park and is a double out and back along the Hatea river trail. After first crossing the bridge from the Mair park side, runners turn right and head to the south end of the trail before turning back and heading to the north end of the trail and then back to the bridge and up to the start/finish line.

These runs are all in the dark so a good headlight and/or torch is required. No light. No run.
