The Great Northern Gallop from 2 to 6 April 2026 is a unique stage race over 4 days in the beautiful Far North of New Zealand.

Each day the event covers a 25km course where you can run or walk alongside your own miniature pony or hire one from the race organisers.

2026 sees a new 50km category and a self-supported option for those wanting to do their own camping and cooking.

The event caters to everyone from ultra-marathon runners to families who want to spend time together and take in the sights whilst walking amongst the beautiful wilderness.
