The Cougar Trail Run returns to Tokoroa on 4 July 2026 as part of the Roam Free Trail Series 2026.

Choose from a 7km, 14.5km or 21km distance, plus a 2km trail run for the kids.

The event is based at Cougar MTB Park. 50min from Taupo, tucked away just behind the Tokoroa township. Courses include rolling single track and forest scenery that changes with every turn. The trails wind through a mix of pine forest, native bush, and gravel connectors.

This is a cup-free event - bring your own cup/water bottle for refilling at aid stations during the race.
