The annual Mitre 10 Mega Tauranga City to Surf on 8 November 2026 is the largest fun run/walk in the Bay of Plenty.

Following the tragic events involving Mauao in February 2026, access to the base track is currently prohibited. As a result, some changes have been made to the courses for this year’s event, but the finish line will still be on the beach!

The Half Marathon and 5km will change course to keep the distance. The historic 11km City to Surf will be shortened to 8.5kms until the use of Mauao is restored.
