The Christchurch Marathon on 12 April 2026 consists of a Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km and Kids MaraFun runs.

Based within Hagley Park, the flat, fast and scenic route will condense itself to a much more central city vibe. The course takes in more iconic landmarks as Christs College, Canterbury Museum and Cambridge Terrace along with the traditional highlights such as Hagley Park, Oxford Terrace and the Avon River.

All races start and finish beside the Armagh Street gates of the park. The route is a 10.5km lap, with options including a Quarter Marathon (one lap), Half Marathon (two laps) Full Marathon (four laps). There are also races for the kids on a safe, scenic course all within Hagley Park.

The Full and Half Marathon are certified to IAAF & AIMS standards.

The event is based from Hagley Park, beside the Armagh Street gates. Startline for the Full, Half and 10K is on Rolleston Ave.
