The Challenge Wānaka Adaptive triathlon is held as part of the Challenge Wānaka Festival together with major sponsor Mitre 10 Wānaka.

This event is open to anyone over ten years old with an impairment whether it be physical or intellectual.

The swim takes place close to shore in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Wānaka, followed by a scenic bike ride along the lakefront and a run through to the official Challenge Wānaka finish line.
