The 2019 NZ Orienteering National Championships is at Ōamaru from Friday, 19 April to Monday, 22 April 2019.

Even though this is the national event, this is a sport that is family-friendly and beginners are welcome and the organisers will help you choose the right map for your own challenge. You will learn how to read maps and use a compass, and getting hopelessly lost will become a thing of the past!

There will be competitive courses for those who the challenge is to complete the course in the quickest time using the best strategy for their route.
