The Rangitikei Adventure Race on 10 April 2027 is based around different sections of the Rangitikei River, near Taihape.

This race is run in a rogaine style format in teams of 2 - 4 people. Teams can collect as many or as few checkpoints as they want or are able to according to the team’s ability.

Disciplines include Mountain Biking on gravel roads and farm land, Trekking on a mixture of trails, streams, native bush and farmland, Navigation to the checkpoints using map and compass (no GPS) and Mystery activities revealed on the day.

Choose from a 3hr or 6hr Duathlon and a 12hr event with Packrafting/Rafting and Duathlon options. The 12hr event will feature challenging off track navigation.

The premier event is the mixed team of 4 in the 12hr paddling event.
