The Chilltech Beach To Basin Fun Run in Whangarei on 15 March 2026 is part of the annual Sport Northland Run/Walk Series.

Started by Athletics Whangarei in 1978 with a couple of hundred competitors, the Beach 2 Basin has grown into a popular event attracting over 2000 participants each year.

Run, fast walk, casual walk or pram stroll either the 10km or 6.8km courses that explore Whangarei's shining waterways and inner harbour. There is also a 2km dash for the kids.
