Race 1 of the Waimea Harriers Wallace Shield series is on 18 April 2026, at Moturoa/Rabbit Island.

This is a beach course with the meeting point at the Old Domain Reserve.

The first event is "guess your time" where entrants run without watches or phones. Give your estimate for running 1.7km, 3.4km or 5km or walking 3.4km at registration. The winner is the person closest to their estimated time.

Registration is from 1.45pm, race briefing 2.20pm and race start 2.30pm.
