The Coastal Run from 16 to 17 October 2026 is held along the east coast of the South Island and includes a 5km, 10km and Half Marathon distance to choose from.

Taking in stunning scenery, the rolling courses are all out-and-back routes starting and finishing at the iconic Caroline Bay. The Half Marathon takes runner all the way to Ellis Road and back – with sweeping ocean views, rolling rural stretches, and an unforgettable finish. The terrain is diverse with packed and loose trails, road and footpath.

The 1.7km Kids' fun run for those aged 5 - 12 years is on a safe course that winds through park paths and coastal tracks.
