The Coastal Run from 10 to 11 October 2025 is held along the east coast of the South Island and includes a 5km, 10km and Half Marathon distance to choose from.

Taking in stunning scenery, the rolling courses are all out-and-back routes starting and finishing at the iconic Caroline Bay. The Half Marathon turn around point is at Ellis Road and the course includes sweeping ocean views, rolling rural stretches and diverse terrain with packed and loose trails, road and footpath.

The 1.7km Kids' fun run for those aged 5 - 12 years is on a safe course that winds through park paths and coastal tracks.

From 2025, the event is under new management.
