That Place MTB Park, Whanganui

That Race on 6 March 2027 is a new trail run festival showcasing the stunning native bush trails of The Whanganui River.

Based at That Place MTB Park, the festival includes a challenge for everyone with four distances to choose from, including a kids' loop.

The 23km long course is the ultimate challenge through rugged Whanganui bush with steep climbs, river crossings and stunning ridge views. The medium course is 13km on a balanced mix of bush and open track for all levels. The short course is a 5km entry level trail run.

You can choose to walk or run the course that best suits you. The terrain is a mixture of gravel roads, 4WD tracks and single trail incorporating lots of regenerating native bush and exotic forest with stunning views of the Whanganui River.

The Kids' run is a 1.3km safe, scenic loop designed for young runners (from 3 to 12 years old).
