The Southern Lakes Ultra is a 7 Day, 6 Stage, Multi Day Ultra from 20 to 27 February 2027 through the stunning Southern Lakes in Central Otago, New Zealand.

This incredibly scenic Multi Day Ultra Marathon covers a total of approximately 250km, through some of New Zealand’s most iconic landscapes.

Starting on the shores of the stunning Southern Lakes, overlooking the crystal clear waters and surrounded by Mountains, you will start your adventure. Travelling, via foot, alongside rivers, lakes, mountains, traversing through valleys, climbing peaks, passing waterfalls, Ski fields, old Gold Mining Towns, crossing rivers, canyons, running through forests and finishing high above the Adventure Capital of the World….Queenstown.

Location map

Registration, gear check, race briefing, the welcome dinner and race finish is in Queenstown. You will be transported from Queenstown to the race start location.
