The Rodney Coast Challenge on 15 November 2026 is an iconic multisport race that traverses the Rodney district from Woodhill Forest to Wenderholm Regional Park.

The race involves a 10km trail run, 30km road bike, 25km mountain bike, 8km kayak and a 100m run to the finish line.

The race involves a 10km Forest Run through Woodhill Forest, 30km Road Cycle through Helensville & Kaukapakapa, 25km Gravel/Mountain Bike from Makarau to Puhoi, 8km paddle from Puhoi to Wenderholm (kayak, waka, paddleboard) and a 300m run to the finish at Wenderholm Regional Park.

This event has been running for 28 years and attracts over 300 participants from the Auckland area and beyond! Individuals and teams are welcome to enter this family friendly day.

It is organised by the Kaukapakapa Scout Group with profits from this event going towards purchasing new equipment, hiring facilities and other activities.
