The Remutaka Rail Trail Run and Walk on 7 November 2026 is on a scenic and historic route that is a jewel in the Wellington region.

Distance include a Half Marathon, 14km and 7km distance.

Based from the Kaitoke Kart Track, the courses are based on the Remutaka Rail Trail through the Remutaka Ranges and are predominately off-road, on hard packed gravel track.

The steep, bush clad valley, the river below, tunnels, bridges and plenty of sweaty people make for a great morning out. This course can easily be negotiated by any modestly fit person.

The event is organised by Trentham United Harriers & Walkers Club.

The start/finish is at the Kaitoke Kart Track, Incline Rd, just off Kaitoke Loop Rd & SH2. The event HQ is the Kaitoke Kart Track clubrooms.
