The RATs Kids Duathlon is an annual event in March for primary and intermediate school kids across Rotorua.

The next event date in March 2026 is to be confirmed.

The event includes a short course (500m run, 3km bike, 500m run) and a long course (1.5km run, 8km bike, 500m run). Year 3 & 4 children must enter the Short Course. Year 7 & 8 children must enter the Long Course. Year 5 & 6 children can choose either distance.

Registration for the event is through your school. Numbers are capped.
