Maunga Mayhem on 15 March 2026 is a family-focused obstacle adventure race based in Maungatapere, Northland.

The event includes four race options to cover all ages from 4 years up: Mixed 1.5km (adult + child team aged 4-8 years), mini 1.5km (children aged 6-12), midi 3km (10 years+) and the major 5km (12 years+).

Prepare to stomp through muddy swamps, scramble over rolling hills, and power through bush tracks as you crawl, climb, balance, jump, splash, and leap your way to the finish line.

The event is an annual fundraiser for Maungatapere school.

OCR/Mud Run:
Mixed team (Adult + Child aged 4-8 yrs): 1.5K
Mini (6-12 yrs): 1.5K
Midi (10 yrs+): 3K
Major (12 yrs+): 5K
